 Hey ,  i  like and follow ur blog..... i m 24 and i having acne scars and also tiny pimples . my scars are 1 -2 months old and i have oily skin. so could you please suggest me home remedies like face packs or masks to reduce the scars......also which vicco product can i try ....like vicco turmeric or wso which to be used for oily skin.

good to know you follow my blog, really thank you for your support.i know how hard to have an oily skin as i own it during summer, thats the time when i have non ending pimples attack.

 before you get rid of scars you should get rid of those pimples.

For that
 eat healthy non sugary food, have  curd in your diet, keep away your hair from face, try neutrogena or clean and clear products according to your budget. i must say vicco turmeric cream is not for oily skinned beauties. scars take different time according to the pigmentation intensity it have.

Here are some remedies for scars.

• scrub weekly twice, once if you have sensitive skin
• apply aloe vera juice to those scars daily preferably at night
• if you are lazy like me try aloe vera gel from natures essence, its worth the buy
• apply sandalwood paste on the scars daily
• milk and curd are also have the same effect yet it takes more time.
• tomato juice and cucumber juice together will make your skin glow with clear complexion
• sunscreen dont help to get rid of scars, but it helps protect the skin from sun exposure and there by intensify scar pigmentation.
• apply lemon juice or orange juice for sensitive skin to get rid scars faster. be careful with this step as lemon juice is stronger acid.
• have antioxidant rich food like pomegranate,beetroot, tomato,onions,corn etc:-

TAKE CARE:: winter skin care

The winter, the time where each and every nook and corner is full of white snow, of  course its wonderful to see around, but your skin and hair will suffer  the cold leading to damage. Damage? Yes, damage occurs to your hair and skin in that cold wind, which lacks humidity. You can feel your skin stretching and your hair frizzy if you have dry skin and hair. So we must protect ourselves from this. Here are some tips for that.

SKIN

•       Apply moisturizer according to your skin type, for dry skin go for thick moisturizers like Vaseline cocoa glow or total moisture, if you have oily skin then go for thin water based moisturizers like Banjara's almond and kesar intense moisturizer or Himalaya’s moisturizer. For normal skin you can have any moisturizer of your choice, like Parachute coconut milk moisturizer, for a cheaper option Ayur cocoa butter moisturizing lotion.   
• Take slow bathe so that water get absorbed to skin. Put drops of milk or essential oil like almond oil, lavender mist even coconut oil to lock in the moisture and keep the skin soft. 
•   Have an oil massage once a week to improve blood circulation. This also relieves stress. Take coconut oil in a bowl and heat it a little bit. Massage it into the skin all over the body and wait for half an hour. Take a bath after that.

•    Apply Vaseline to your feet and hands and put on socks to retain moisture. And apply lip balm lavishly before going to sleep. Scrub your lips with your tooth brush after you finish brushing. This will be more easier way as the lips will be soaked then with water. You can also make lip scrub by just mixing sugar and honey. Sugar helps to get rid of dead skin cell while honey moisturizes.

•   Take bubble bath whenever possible. Don’t forget to have your favorite body lotion treat too. Yeah I know because of the cold outside we are more tempted to use hot water, but use warm water for the sake your skin’s elasticity.

• Scrub your skin with a loofah or body scrubs to keep it shining.

•  Drink water, yeah, heard it so many times and we all are lazy. But it work wonders ask the celebrities, I may say.

•    Lets do oats magic. After you take bath with body soap take a bit oatmeal or oatmeal powder mix it with water and simple rub all over your body wait for 5 minutes or just massage a little bit. You skin will be smooth all day long. Yeah, it’s a bit yucky, and don’t smell good, but cover it with you sweet smelling body lotion. Its worth it.

HAIR::

The hair is more prone to breakage this season. The cold winds will take its toll on your hair.

1)    Increase the interval between two successive shampooing rituals. That is, if you use to shampoo once in two days make it once in 6 days. IF you shampoo once a week, make it once 12 days and so on. For curly hair beauties you skip shampooing and use conditioners alone which will do cleansing and keep your hair good state.

2)    Use leave in conditioner before leaving your home even if its just stepping to your balcony.

3)    Do oil massage with coconut oil or olive oil to make your hair retain the shine. You can also try henna treatments.

4)    Put on a protein mask twice a week as your hair is prone to breakage at this time of the year.

5)    Split ends are so common this time, use curd on your hair at beginning stages and trimming treatments for longer split ends.

6)    Try plaiting your hair when going out or a messy bun. But don’t leave it to the winds and you may regret afterwards.

Step 1: Apply concealer and after that primer around your eyes
Step 2: Apply orange eyeshadow along the eyelids
Step 3: Apply dark brown shade at the ends and blend it.Make it darker and even along the crease. There should be a shaded effect where the orange and brown eye shadows blend.
Step 4: Apply a pearly white color below the eyebrows and inside corner of the eyes.

Step 5: Apply liquid eyeliner(gel eyeliner) along the upper eyelids and put kajal (kohl) or gel eyeliner in the waterline.
Step 6: Put on some mascara and you get a neutral subtle look for the day time.You can add fake eyelashes too for more dramatic look.

TAKE CARE::MONSOON SKIN CARE

Ya, its rain around you, with the cool breeze and tiny droplets on face, rain is sweet when staying indoors. But with those official life, you just cant sit at home. So by having some extra care for your skin this monsoon, stay protected.

Cleansing:

As there is humid climate in monsoon, the chances of getting a fungal infection. So clean your face as soon as you get up in the morning and as you reach home. Your skin will be sensitive and sometimes oily. So use a mild cleanser and which takes oil and dirt. Use cleansers like neutrogena and clean and clear which keep acne causing bacteria at the bay. For body use a anti bacterial soap.

If you are trying this for the first time, try to purchase a small quantity say clean and clear for Rs 15, small bottle.After cleansing never rub your skin, pat it dry. Try to wash towel each day or you will have skin irritation and break out.

Exfoliation:

The chances of accumulation of dead skin cells are more in this season. This can cause dull skin and pigmentation. So scrub away them, but not too harsh.Use scrub suitable for skin. This will help to have a fresh face.Use a loofah for you body too.

Toning:

Toning keeps your pores closed and your facial skin safe.It depends on your skin type.If a toner irritaes you don't use it. Use a astringent for the purpose.I personally dot like toners. If you want to use, use an alcohol free toner or natural toners like tomato juice or rose water.

Moisturizing:


If you dont like any other skin  treatment said above except cleansing( which is a must),just moisturize your skin. Dont go for thick moisturizers, but take light, water based moisturizers.  If you want to use a normal moisturizer i suggest clean and clear oil free moisturizer or simply lacto calamine for oily and combination skin. For dry ksin or normal skin go for Johnson and Johnson baby cream or himalaya. If you want to continue using your moisturizer you can.
                            Caking you face with make up will give a breakout, try to have more natural look. Using a SPF is must even if its not sunny. Try Neutrogena ultra sheer as a light sunscreen. Want a tinted moisturizer, go for lotus brands or ponds age miracle which are tinted and contains spf.

 The product has green flip open cap and white body ( as usual like a himalaya product). Even if it contains lemon it does not smell like one. The cap is not so tight. The cleanser has milky texture and a bit soapy in nature, i will use another face wash after using this as it leaves a soapy feeling in your face. May be its because of lemon that after using this my skin seems to be more bright than usual. :)

 Himalaya herbals:REfreshing cleansing milk (all skin types) conatins  Lemon and mentha spp. It deep cleanses clarifies and refreshes. I have a combination skin type. So my skin is really sensitive,this cleanser is really  good on me, it contains natural ingredients so is never breaking me out. I used this daily during summer to get rid of sweat and dirt of the hectic day.IT CONTAINS PARABEN THOUGH.


I use this as my makeup remover.As i dont cake my face with makeup on a daily basis, i just need a mild makeup remover. Its pretty effective too.
