TAKE CARE::MONSOON SKIN CARE

Ya, its rain around you, with the cool breeze and tiny droplets on face, rain is sweet when staying indoors. But with those official life, you just cant sit at home. So by having some extra care for your skin this monsoon, stay protected.

Cleansing:

As there is humid climate in monsoon, the chances of getting a fungal infection. So clean your face as soon as you get up in the morning and as you reach home. Your skin will be sensitive and sometimes oily. So use a mild cleanser and which takes oil and dirt. Use cleansers like neutrogena and clean and clear which keep acne causing bacteria at the bay. For body use a anti bacterial soap.

If you are trying this for the first time, try to purchase a small quantity say clean and clear for Rs 15, small bottle.After cleansing never rub your skin, pat it dry. Try to wash towel each day or you will have skin irritation and break out.

Exfoliation:

The chances of accumulation of dead skin cells are more in this season. This can cause dull skin and pigmentation. So scrub away them, but not too harsh.Use scrub suitable for skin. This will help to have a fresh face.Use a loofah for you body too.

Toning:

Toning keeps your pores closed and your facial skin safe.It depends on your skin type.If a toner irritaes you don't use it. Use a astringent for the purpose.I personally dot like toners. If you want to use, use an alcohol free toner or natural toners like tomato juice or rose water.

Moisturizing:


If you dont like any other skin  treatment said above except cleansing( which is a must),just moisturize your skin. Dont go for thick moisturizers, but take light, water based moisturizers.  If you want to use a normal moisturizer i suggest clean and clear oil free moisturizer or simply lacto calamine for oily and combination skin. For dry ksin or normal skin go for Johnson and Johnson baby cream or himalaya. If you want to continue using your moisturizer you can.
                            Caking you face with make up will give a breakout, try to have more natural look. Using a SPF is must even if its not sunny. Try Neutrogena ultra sheer as a light sunscreen. Want a tinted moisturizer, go for lotus brands or ponds age miracle which are tinted and contains spf.

MY PERCERTION

 The product has green flip open cap and white body ( as usual like a himalaya product). Even if it contains lemon it does not smell like one. The cap is not so tight. The cleanser has milky texture and a bit soapy in nature, i will use another face wash after using this as it leaves a soapy feeling in your face. May be its because of lemon that after using this my skin seems to be more bright than usual. :)

 Himalaya herbals:REfreshing cleansing milk (all skin types) conatins  Lemon and mentha spp. It deep cleanses clarifies and refreshes. I have a combination skin type. So my skin is really sensitive,this cleanser is really  good on me, it contains natural ingredients so is never breaking me out. I used this daily during summer to get rid of sweat and dirt of the hectic day.IT CONTAINS PARABEN THOUGH.


I use this as my makeup remover.As i dont cake my face with makeup on a daily basis, i just need a mild makeup remover. Its pretty effective too.

ALMOND OIL :: USES IN DAILY LIFE

Almonds are a type of nuts. Almonds contain proteins and  minerals . Due to their relatively high fat content, however, most nuts, including almonds, are also relatively high in calories, but eating almonds, even if high in calories, may make you feel full. Several human and animal studies that were conducted in the last few years have found that replacing animal fat in the diet with either almonds or almond oil produced reductions in total cholesterol levels, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and triglycerides. In addition, levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL), almonds, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.”

 

We have heard of oil extracted from almonds, almond oil. It is an amber colored oil. Apart from the uses as hair oil almond oil have many other uses, some them are here:

MAKE UP REMOVER:

Almond oil taken in cotton pad can be used to remove makeup easily. This taken in a q tip can be used to remove eye makeup.

MASSAGE OIL:

While doing a facial at home, almond oil can be used to massage face for better blood circulation. This also gives a glow on your face and helps to tighten the face.

ANTI WRINKLE CREAM:

Almond oil can be used as a substitute for anti wrinkle cream. Continuous use of almond oil can reduce wrinkles, crow feet, fine lines even age spots etc:-

NIGHT CREAM:

Can be used as a night cream. I daily use this by massaging into the skin at night. I am 20 and this will give a glow on my face the next day. This also helps with giving an even skin tone and prevent sagging of skin.

UNDER EYE GEL:

This may be really unbelievable but the constituents of almond helps to remove under eye darkness due to deficiency of vitamins or hereditary. The vitamin E in almond oil will help to make eye look fresh the next day.

PIGMENTATION OF LIPS:

Pigmentation is one of the beauty crisis for both men and women.That is darkening of lips especially upper lip. Massage daily a drop of almond oil on lips and pigmentation will be removed.

CUTICLE  OIL:

If you are a nail maniac, that you love to take care of your nails, then this can be used as a cuticle oil, Fatty acids and vitamin E will remove callous and remove darkness.

GROWTH OF EYE LASH AND EYE BROW:

Apply a bit of almond oil on eye lashes and eye brows and you will get longer eye lashes and thicker eye brows.

HAIR GROWTH:

Fights hair fall and makes hair grow longer. Use it daily before going to bed by massaging on to scalp.

LEAVE IN CONDITIONER:

Ya, absolutely this will work miracle. Apply on to hair while it is still wet and voila, your hair will be soft and smooth and shining.

AS ESSENTIAL OIL FOR BATHING:

Add drops of almond oil in to the water for bathing if you have dry skin, then no need for moisturizing. This will makes skin glow.

SOFTENING CALLOUS:

While doing pedicure at home, add almond drops and softening callous will be easy.
