ALMOND OIL :: USES IN DAILY LIFE

Almonds are a type of nuts. Almonds contain proteins and  minerals . Due to their relatively high fat content, however, most nuts, including almonds, are also relatively high in calories, but eating almonds, even if high in calories, may make you feel full. Several human and animal studies that were conducted in the last few years have found that replacing animal fat in the diet with either almonds or almond oil produced reductions in total cholesterol levels, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and triglycerides. In addition, levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL), almonds, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.”

 

We have heard of oil extracted from almonds, almond oil. It is an amber colored oil. Apart from the uses as hair oil almond oil have many other uses, some them are here:

MAKE UP REMOVER:

Almond oil taken in cotton pad can be used to remove makeup easily. This taken in a q tip can be used to remove eye makeup.

MASSAGE OIL:

While doing a facial at home, almond oil can be used to massage face for better blood circulation. This also gives a glow on your face and helps to tighten the face.

ANTI WRINKLE CREAM:

Almond oil can be used as a substitute for anti wrinkle cream. Continuous use of almond oil can reduce wrinkles, crow feet, fine lines even age spots etc:-

NIGHT CREAM:

Can be used as a night cream. I daily use this by massaging into the skin at night. I am 20 and this will give a glow on my face the next day. This also helps with giving an even skin tone and prevent sagging of skin.

UNDER EYE GEL:

This may be really unbelievable but the constituents of almond helps to remove under eye darkness due to deficiency of vitamins or hereditary. The vitamin E in almond oil will help to make eye look fresh the next day.

PIGMENTATION OF LIPS:

Pigmentation is one of the beauty crisis for both men and women.That is darkening of lips especially upper lip. Massage daily a drop of almond oil on lips and pigmentation will be removed.

CUTICLE  OIL:

If you are a nail maniac, that you love to take care of your nails, then this can be used as a cuticle oil, Fatty acids and vitamin E will remove callous and remove darkness.

GROWTH OF EYE LASH AND EYE BROW:

Apply a bit of almond oil on eye lashes and eye brows and you will get longer eye lashes and thicker eye brows.

HAIR GROWTH:

Fights hair fall and makes hair grow longer. Use it daily before going to bed by massaging on to scalp.

LEAVE IN CONDITIONER:

Ya, absolutely this will work miracle. Apply on to hair while it is still wet and voila, your hair will be soft and smooth and shining.

AS ESSENTIAL OIL FOR BATHING:

Add drops of almond oil in to the water for bathing if you have dry skin, then no need for moisturizing. This will makes skin glow.

SOFTENING CALLOUS:

While doing pedicure at home, add almond drops and softening callous will be easy.

Review::JOHNSON'S BABY MILK CREAM

I really like Johnson's baby products because of their smell, divine. I dont know why i got this as i have lots of face cream in my cupboard left unused. And also i wonder why do a baby needs a cream. Here small babies like me( i mean when i was young) were bathed after applying olive oil or coconut milk. That is natural and good for baby.Anyways i got this when i had a really sensitive skin this summer.The product says"contains a unique combination of natural milk extract and vit A and E. With double nourishment, this product helps replenish moisture to leave skin baby soft.Contains rich emoilinets and added moisturizers  helps to give skin an immediate moisture boost.

My Perception:


The product has blue flip open cap. The cream is really soft and delicate and smells sweet like a baby.

It is not for oily skin. This is for dry skin. During those monthly visitor times my skin behaves unpleasantly. Sudden appearance of red patches or acne. I use this milk cream on such days when my skin need moisture yet any other cream will  lead to breakouts. This cream does not leave skin oily, will absorb really well.

 It gives my skin a glow from inside. I love this cream, and i am using this as my night cream+ under eye cream.

REVIEW :: PEAR'S FRESH RENEWAL FACEWASH(ULTRA MILD)

Today am gonna review on Pears fresh renewal face wash.Actually am totally obsessed with face washes. As daily cleansing is a great way to keep your skin fresh and new, hunt for super face wash never ends.Okay, now lets get into the review. The product Pears Fresh renewal face wash (ultra mild).

For normal skin:

contains gentle exfoliating beads and cooling crystals
deep cleans and washes dead skin cells
fresh and renewed skin
100% soap free
use twice daily for best results

My Perception:

I have been using a lot of face washes for years. Out of that this one is the second face wash with gentle exfoliating beads. First on was lakme fruit blast. To say about the face wash, its pretty good. This does not dries out skin, but opens and make pores around the nose area bigger. It is gel type and flip open cap. The blue colored exfoliating beads also works well. But i found it make my skin not so smooth looking for first two days. But made as usual later.

        The smell is so awful, actually it smelled like surf excel. I hated this smell. But i felt like different smell on later days.
Anyways i discontinued use after some days, just because i found that pears soap as well as face wash make us 'addicted' to it. If we continue using it, then after days any other cleanser will make us breakout. My friend swear upon it but she cant use any other branded soap or face wash on her face as that will break her out.
The face wash is okie type, will give exfoliation and cleanses gently. But let me say am paranoid.

Make it: your own skin care wipes at home

We all know what is a skin care wipe. This soft cottony tissues will make our skin fresh and cleans and is very handy while traveling.To know more importance of this you should ask to an oily skinned beauty.
Skin care wipes are a bit costly, and if you are not able to afford this why do you worry we can make it at home.

Things you'll need:

Cleanser
Essential oil
tissue paper
water

Make it:

Now take a bowl or any flat vessel. Add some cleanser of any sort. I've used Himalaya cleansing milk. Add 3 to 4 drops of any essential oil like lavender oil, almond oil etc:- Add enough water and mix well.The solution should be dissolved well. The proportion of cleanser and water can be adjusted as your wish. Now place as many tissues as you want into the vessel.

The tissue i ve been using is this.This will not tear easily. Allow the tissue to soak and absorb the solution well.Now take the tissues and keep it in a cover to seal the moisture.If you want you can add the astringent as well.

This is actually for "lazy ladies" who don't want a face wash or cleanser to be used differently. The bar is dermatologically approved.This bathing bar is really gentle and moisturizing. And have pleasent smell too.

This have improved skin texture and condition, that is my uneven skin tone, which means this balances the skin.It has rich lather and also very easy to use.

When you want to use a bar soap but don't like the dry skin you get from it...this soap is the answer. It doesn't leave your skin dry. Great for travel too.I have a combination skin and hence a sensitive skin too. Improvement was apparent in one day.

PERCEPTION:

The roll on eye shimmer is powdery.The product have a ball roll on on the top.Just roll it and blend it with a brush.This is so easy to apply.These are around 4$ and look really shimmery.If you love to add sparkles to your eyes, then this is the thing for you. You can make your eyes alive with this and even add it for a smokey eye,cat eye even go plain with this. If you are a makeup maniac, then this one should be yours. So add shimmer to your eyes and make your eyes vibrant from dull.

Nail polish tutorial- trendy half removed

Ya this is the new trend in nail polish,yet it is very tricky.It was first appeared in famous Hermione Granger of Harry Potter, Emma Watson's nails.Say precisely in ELLE's November issue 2011.

You can see that in her hands, how messy isn't it.Let me ask you, Oh common you liked it?.Actually it looks like half done, not for classy people, if you are freak enough try the style.


You'll need:

•  Any dark nail polish( i would say black, it will be seen well and good)
• Nail polish remover
• Cotton 
• top coat.

So as per the manicure rules do everything and apply the nail polish.There are two ways to attain this.

1) Take a cotton ball such that it is wrapped around your index finger.Placing the finger at the center smudge it upwards before the nail polish is DRY.

2) When the nail polish is dry,  take a cotton ball such that it is wrapped around your index finger and have a small amount of remover and placing the finger at the center smudge it upwards without FORCE.


When you get the desired result, Apply top coat.
